For more than 25 years, Friends Hospital has offered specialized care to older adults suffering from behavioral and emotional health issues. The Older Adult Service is widely respected and has even served as a model for similar programs at other hospitals.

Friends Hospital’s Older Adult Service is designed specifically for adults aged 55 and older. The program addresses a wide range of diagnoses, like depression, psychosis, dementia, behavior problems, complications related to Alzheimer’s disease and others. The unit provides intensive care for older adults needing the highest level of psychiatric care.
